Yonayona Beer Works, Akasaka

Excellent place for craft beer and eats. Was here for lunch on a Saturday and had the taster of beer: boku beer kimi beer (okay), suiyobi no neko (Belgian white - better), and Indo no Aooni (IPA - excellent!). Lunch was simply three sausages: the burdock and shiitake mushrooms and the wild boar and green peppers were very good. But, the highlight was absolutely the Yuzu & Pepper sausage. Absolutely to die for. Would come back again in a heartbeat!

Lots of beers (local). Possibility to eat a couple of lunch plate. Really clean and nice place. They speak English enough to order what you want.

Nice selection of beers and decent food, including many sausage varieties. Try the fries with seaweed and consomme.

Very delicious food and courteous staff. All the staff that we spoke with understood and some English very well. This beer hall is more than just craft beers. While you are here, definitely try some of the signature sausages that they serve. There are a lot of different kinds to try and all that we had were very delicious. I highly recommend this place because of its friendly environment and exceptional food and beer selection.

Excellent little restaurant with great lunch specials. All of the standard Yona Yona fare is here as well as many seasonal and special beers on tap. I do recommend if you find yourself in Akasaka to stop by for a drink and a bite.

We took a five day girls’ trip to Tokyo and we stopped at the Yona Yona Beer Works Akasaka location and the beer truck. We LOVED the flights. Great environment and amazing customer service. Cant wait to bring my husband.

Large beer selection with a decent lunch menu.

Beer are ok not great! The service from the bar staff is the worse I have seen in Japan! If you decide to go here don’t sit at the bar!!! Especially if you are a foreigner!

We stopped in for a late lunchtime snack and to sample some local beers. We opted for the merry-go-round of samplers (which a few of the local salarymen enjoyed seeing), and were very impressed with it.They have a good variety of styles and good prices (for craft beer in Japan). From lighter ales to rich stouts to even a barley wine, they were all delicious.Credit cards are accepted. Our waitress also spoke very good English.

Good food and nice environment.

This place is awesome! And the customer service is great! About 6 friends and I went here on a weekday and we stayed for over 4 hours. Staff was very accommodating! I recommend the cheese fondue!

The beer selection was nice and the food was delicious. We had a few varieties of sausages and that famous Yona Yona ramen. Only downside was the staff was rather cold.

A cool spot to get some beer and food. Lots of beers on tap to choose from, and their speciality food is sausages (lots of different flavors). The curry sauage was my favorite. A bit pricey, but good.

The world's most incompetent staff... Service is terrible. They forget your orders over and over again. Yes the beer is good but if this place has management they should be fired for being useless...

Yona Yona has the best local microbrews of any place I tried while in Tokyo, and I tried quite a few. I believe they had 10-12 beers on tap, all of which were distinctly different styles. I felt that most Japan-based breweries I tried had very, very standard beer types.... e.g. Amber, Lager, IPA, rinse and repeat. Yona Yona actually had a Porter, for instance, which I didn't see at any other local place. Each beer I tried was definitely top notch and well developed. You can purchase their pint glasses as a souvenir, which I was pumped about because their labels / graphic designs for each beer are awesome (see photo). I only wish they sold shirts with these logos as well!

Beer and Beer - nice place for friends meeting

Went on a Wednesday evening the service was very friendly and the food was delicious. There is a great choice of beers and cocktails all reasonably priced. A great atmosphere and if you love craft beers this is definitely a place to visit!

The food was completely amazing!!! The staff was so professional and super friendly which made the experience that much more enjoyable. I look forward to coming back and having the same if not a better experience than this time. There's so many options on the menu which makes me look forward to the next time that much more.

Good fresh beer - usual range of styles, nothing too out-there. Food was surprisingly good. Acoustics good enough to hold a conversation.

Beers were on point, food options we're pretty standard. We reserved a private room with personal tap, which was pretty cool.

This was the first of a chain of taverns run by Yoho Brewery which is the biggest craft beer company in Japan. The beer is great, the food is delicious, and the ambience is pleasant. What's not to like?

They have really good sausages here and good grilled chicken, they also have fried chicken but it isn't on the menu you just have to order it. They had an interesting home brew cola which was decent.

Great beer and sausages

I started going there for lunch shortly after joining a nearby company. In the beginning their dishes were super nice but after a while the quality started decreasing. Their curry sausage meal switched to white rice instead of multigrain, the sausage is now half cooked and full of fat, their fries are at best acceptable. I guess it follows the typical Japanese restaurant routine: build a clientele with good meals and slowly increase profitability by reducing the quality of meals. I'm disappointed.

Nice place to taste craft beers.

Very disappointing... Making me wait 20minutes to tell me that the next table available will be in more than 1h30... Very surprised by the bad services. While waiting the guy was quite friendly and propose me to make small dégustation... Which he never brought to me. Sad that I like the brand, but this time service was not nice...

Loads of craft beer and a solid menu with a choice of small and shared tables. The spicy / normal roast chicken and sausages were delicious. Found it to be a little pricey but it's in a good location and right near a metro station.

English menu is great. Spicy chicken is on point. Tasty beer, very kind staff. Food arrived quickly even though they were very busy.

I love this place. If you love craft beers, but are uninitiated in the Japanese craft beer, you should try this place. Their lunch menus are also pretty delicious, but probably you can get the most out of your money by doing All-You-Can-Drink. The place is super-accessible to a subway station as well.
